Internship Program

Start Your Clinical
Journey With Us

  • MCS Counseling Group offers Washington State clinical graduate students a structured, supportive internship experience grounded in solid clinical work, not observation hours and paperwork from the sidelines.
  • You will carry a meaningful caseload, receive supervision from licensed and approved clinical supervisors, and work alongside a collaborative team of 27+ clinicians across behavioral health specialties. From your first session to licensure and beyond, we are invested in the clinician you are becoming.
  • This is where your clinical identity begins to take shape. We would be honored to be part of that.

Our internship program at MCS was designed with you in mind.

A Dynamic Learning Experience

Our year-long internship program gives graduate students the depth of experience, supervision, and mentorship they need to become confident, well-rounded clinicians, in a supportive group practice setting.

Real Client Work

Manage your own caseload of 8–12 client therapy sessions per week, working across a range of concerns, modalities, and relational dynamics including individual and group sessions.

Weekly Supervision

Receive individual and group supervision from a Washington state-approved, relationally-trained supervisor, the consistent mentorship you need to grow session by session.

Staff Integration

You're not just an intern, you're part of the team. Attend staff meetings, consultation groups, and continuing education sessions alongside our licensed clinicians.

Cohort-Based Learning

You won't navigate this alone. Learn and grow alongside a cohort of fellow graduate therapists who are at the same stage of their journey, peers who get it.

Continuing Education

Take part in ongoing professional development and learning opportunities that extend your training well beyond what the classroom provides.

Mentorship & Support

Our supervisors and senior clinicians are genuinely invested in your development. You'll have people to turn to when sessions are hard and moments feel uncertain.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for graduate students who are passionate about mental health, committed to equitable and culturally-responsive care, and ready to bring curiosity and dedication to every session. A collaborative spirit, strong organizational skills, and a desire to grow within a team environment are essential. Spaces are limited. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
