Exploring the Gender Spectrum,
Supporting Your Journey,
Celebrating Who You Are
The motivation behind starting this group is to foster a supportive community in which teens are able to discuss and explore gender and identity. This group is open to anyone ages 13-17 who is transgender, including those who fall outside of the binary or are questioning their gender. Â

WHAT TO EXPECT
Supportive:Â
Your chosen name and pronouns will be used consistently in the group. If your name or pronouns change during the course of the group, that change will be respected.
Pressure-free:
At no point will the group facilitator require cameras or microphones to be turned on for any participant. No one will be called on to speak or share. All participation is on a volunteer basis. We do ask that group members commit to attending sessions once the group has begun.
Confidential:
All group members will agree to keep anything said during group private. This includes names, member information, and extends to anything said between group members. Regular therapy confidentiality rules apply; if the facilitator believes that a group member is a danger to themself or others, or is made aware of abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, steps will be taken to protect any parties in danger.Â
Closed:
The group will be made up of the same people from start to finish. A closed group helps ensure confidentiality and foster an environment in which all participants feel comfortable sharing and being themselves.Â
Respectful:
Hate speech, bullying, and other forms of hurtful behavior will not be tolerated.
WHAT’S IT COST? NOTHING!
Group members are welcome to purchase the book that will be used during sessions, but it is not necessary. Each session will be based on a concept or activity in the book “Gender Identity Workbook for Teens: Practical Exercises to Navigate Your Exploration, Support Your Journey, and Celebrate Who You Are†For those who do not want to purchase the book, printer-friendly and fillable document versions of each activity will be provided. WHO’S RUNNING THIS GROUP?

Hi!
My name is Autumn and my pronouns are they/them. I’m a fulltime therapist at MCS counseling in Silverdale, WA. My hobbies include music, going to shows, and crafting. I have two cats named Pippin and Blumbo. I also have a lizard named Beans and a snake named Jeffery.Â
I have been out as nonbinary for a couple of years now, and I’ve created this group hoping that I can provide the type of space that I could have used when I was a teenager. I think that there is something really comforting and healing about being surrounded by people who can understand the highs and lows that come with being trans. I believe that it is so important to have a space that is safe to think about and discuss what gender means to us, as well as our goals and hopes for the future.Â
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! Â
